Last sunday, my second comission for The Sunday Times had been published. It was an illustration for an Alexei Sayle
short story on an apocalyptic near future where ufos, shopping malls and natural dissasters rule the world. If you hadn´t
seen the times magazine this sunday, you can read the short story here, and soon see the illustration online in the

One of the first publications that made me want to be a designer was Communication Arts. While studying economics
i flipped through it´s pages -at my girlfriend´s house- and felt moved by the amazing things that people could do with a print
ad, a milk package or a billboard in the street. It wasn´t my world, but it seemed the most amazing job in the world. 

Max-o-matic: illustration and other dirty habits (un-selected work 2003-2009) is a book featuring many of the things i´ve
been doing for the last years as an illustrator and designer. Projects, commissions, interviews, pictures and fun stuff i found
on my hard drives was layed out in a 220 pages b&w book co-edited with Picnic publishing house and printed and handled

Nike and Foot Locker paired four footballers, with four artists in four different cities across Europe. The artists took the
athlete’s off-pitch personality, style and enthusiasm and turned it into a unique ‘Nike Air Max 90’ portrait. The artwork
inspires consumers to create their own, using an amazing piece of creative technology.
F.C. Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets collaborated with Barcelona artist Max-o-matic to share his passion for
basketball, the beach, his family – and of course, Nike Air Max 90.  Project commissioned by AKQA Amsterdam.

 I got a whole page in Neo2 december´s issue! Neo2 is one of the most inspiring magazines published in spain. I´ve been following them since i knew them in the begining of 00´s, so it´s great now to be on it´s pages! :)

Cutters showcases a variety of contemporary collage from North America and Europe. Each one has a unique vision and exciting visual vocabulary that includes collections of images sorted and stacked, layered and glued, cut to pieces and ripped apart. Last week i finally got my copy of Illusive (Contemporary illustration part 3), where some of my illustrations have been published. Illusive is one of the bilbes of illustration, so it´s great to be there. Thanks people at Gestalten! About the book: "The book addresses the inexhaustible possibilities of styles and techniques that are practiced today through the broad range of examples featured that span from fashion illustration to the current flirtation with figurative painting, material application as well as deconstruction and collage."

Pangea Seed´s first special event, No Fin No Future, will be a fund raising even that will combine the media of music, art, and film to help raise awareness of the threat of extinction in every part of the world due to overfishing of sharks. My contribution for the event will be auctioned (among other amazing work from artists such as Dave Kinsey, Kozindan, Josh Keyes, Rhys Cooper...) to raise money for the cause.

Aludd and Zine-Zine, my two latest fanzines, were reviewed at Uno, Barcelona´s key Freestyle culture & skateboarding magazine.

Pasajes de Diseño magazine comissioned me an illustration for an article reviwing Sanaa´s intervention in Mies Van der Rohe´s Barcelona Pavillion. The illustration had to address the blending of the "transparent" attitude of the japanese architect´s work with Van der Rohe´s mithycal building.

Some of my artworks will be exhibited at the "Todo a 100" show in Sevilla´s Montana Shop & Gallery . Opening december 27th, more than 20 artists will be showing their work that, to fight the crisis feeling that surrounds us, will be on sale for less than 100 eu. Pasajes Diseño magazine is doing a "chain interview" seires. So, after being interviewed i had to interview someboy else. So i chose one of my favourite illustrators: Gregori Saavedra. We had some beers, talked about his carreer and had a great time . Now, one month later, you can find the piece in issue # 3 of this great magazine.

Barcelona´s "coolest" weekly cultural agenda comissioned me a couple of illustrations for the cover of their website. This is the first one they published. Also they made me a little interview.

I was featured in a 3 pages interview at Pasajes de Diseño magazine (#2, april 2008). Fanzines, illustration, design and (again!) pataphysics were some of the things i talked about with Elena Rodriguez Alcoba, who interviewed me.

I have been featured in Die Gestalten Verlag´s latest release: Lemon Poppy Seed. This book is a compilation of work by young, international artists whose styles defy current trends and classifications and are all the more brilliant for doing so. Alud, the spanish Word for a mud avlanche, is a large mass of material moving rapidly and razing whatever it finds it its way and re-arranging the landscape in a new way… sometimes nice, sometimes creepy. Aludd is bringing Ned Ludd, the leader of the artisans in the early nineteenth century destroyed machines in the first years of the Industrial Revolution, back to life. Aludd is a direct attack to our perceptions schemes. Aludd is Max-o-matic´s first solo show featuring his most recent work. Aludd will take place in one of his most beloved galleries: Duduá.
